Zoe London's Festival Tag //

I love festivals so thought it was fitting to do the tag Zoe London made here

Fan girled so hard when i met Zoe at Slam Dunk last year haha!

What was the last festival you went to?
Download 2016, was an absolutely amazing weekend, i actually made a round up video here if you want to check it out. The weather was amazing for the first two days and then friday rolled around and the heavens opened up. It didn't put a downer on the festival because I was so hyped for the bands to start. Highlights were defo the headliners Rammstein, Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath and also Baby Metal, Neck Deep, Milk Teeth, and of course Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes were amazing.

What was the first festival you went to?
This was Reading Festival 2009 as a nervous 18 year old, however I remember having the best weekend there. So much live music all day and night is exactly what i wanted.

Have you ever travelled abroad for a festival?
No I haven't but I would love to go to the Warped Tour in america, that would be so rad.

Best headline act you've ever seen?
This is such a hard question but I would have to say Rammstein because of how theatrical their set is and all of the cool pyrotechnics and Iron Maiden are up there, they are still so energetic and their shows are just incredible. I would also add in Paramore, I saw them at reading 2014, their sound cut out but Hayley still sang without any of the music and it was literal magic hah. I am pretty sure I shed a tear.

What festival would you love to go to?
It would have to be Warped Tour in America, its like pop punk heaven and also has so many more amazing bands! Plus is warm, so there wouldn't be the need to carry an anorak all the time hah.

Reading 2014
What is the next festival you're going to?
I am going to Slam Dunk south and CAN'T WAIT!! I am so excited to see Enter Shikari, they are doing a 'Take To The Skies' 10 year celebration, I cant wait to see what they have in store for us!

Do you camp or are you a hotel kinda person?
So far I have camped, but I find it quite liberating haha, you just get up in the morning and sit in your deck chair/ the ground and maybe crack open a nice warm cider haha. Now I am older the idea of a camper van sounds way more appealing though.

Share your ultimate festival lineup!
This is so hard again, it would be me listing all my fave bands. Paramore would be in the mix for sure then throw some Architects in, Limp Bizkit, The Front Bottoms, Neck Deep, Gnarwolves and probably who ever is on this Spotify playlist here.

Throw back to some of the festivals I've been to

Jacket Series // Day to Night //

PERFECT Yellow Jacket - New Look

This is the next jacket in the series and when I saw it in New Look I instantly fell in love, I had some vouchers from work so it only cost me around £5 which was perfect. Its now something I cant go out without!! This is how I would wear it casual and then dressed up. The gingham dress is from Missguided here and I think goes perfectly with the Jacket, its a such an amazing combination.

In the casual outfit, the tee is actually one of my own designs, I have printed a couple other prototypes and I cant wait to show you guys. I love them so much!!

DIY Jacket // OOTD

Jacket - Ebay +DIY, Top - H&M,  Jeans - New Look, Vans, Tote Bag - Gnarwolves

I am still loving the patch trend but didn't want to spend loads of money on a faux leather jacket when I can DIY at home for waaaay cheaper. I bought the patch from ebay for about £3 here and the jacket from ebay for under a tenner, ironing on the patch was super easy and voila patch jacket for a fraction of the price. Its so easy to do these things at home and also choose what you want on your piece of clothing and where.

Tips for iron patches:

  • make sure iron is very hot and do not use the steam function
  • cover the patch with some thin material before applying heat
  • keep iron on patch for around 30 seconds and check patch
  • turn clothing over and iron from the inside 30 seconds
  • repeat those two steps 2/3 times and it should be stuck there life

I wanted to start a series on my jackets because now its warmer I love throwing them on, I've got quite a few I want to feature including a denim jacket I have DIY'd.
I also bought this tote bag from one of my fave bands Gnarwolves, they have just released a video for their new song Straitjacket which you can watch here it reminds me of really old Green Day which I love, I am so excited for the release of their new album.

Boutique of Molly // Florence Bag

Top & Jeans - New Look, Wallet - Skinny Dip, Sunglasses - Missguided

Boutique of Molly -Florence Bag

The lovely people at Boutique of Molly contacted me about a collaboration so of course I went straight to the website and chose this beaut little bag. Its the perfect accessory to dress up a casual outfit and is EVEN BETTER for a night out as a clutch (you can remove the strap's too) because its so big inside, I cant get over how much I can fit into this beautifully deceptive little bag. I am one of those people who likes to bring everything with me including the kitchen sink incase of emergencies hah. So not only did I fall in love with this bag because it's aesthetically pleasing its also extremely practical which isn't as glam but for someone like me I take that into account when purchasing anything.
I also chose a stunning dress which I will be featuring very soon so keep an eye out!!

Thank you so much for reading, let me know if you have/will be purchasing anything from the lovelies over at Boutique of Molly.

H&M Dress // OOTD

Dress & Boots - H&M, Necklaces - Tiffany, Stella and Dot

This is a perfect dress which can be dressed up or down plus its extremely comfortable. It was also very affordable as well. You could defo pair it with some Vans/Converse and a dark denim jacket to wear it casually during the day and jazz it up with a leather (fake) jacket and a choker for the evening. I know I will be wearing this a lot over the next couple months.

Denim Skirt // OOTD

Tee - Moose Blood, Belt - Primark, Skirt - H&M, Converse

I feel this skirt and tee combo is such a kelly kapowski vibe!?! Its again such an easy casual outfit to put on, especially when it gets a bit hotter, I feel I will brave no tights and hope for the best though hah, plus I have just had under my knees tattooed and they are in the irritating itchy stage so its a lot easier to not have anything on them. Therefore great excuse!

Tips for travelling solo //

I am not one who enjoys flying, all of my irrational fears are always at the front of my mind. When in reality flying is one of the most safest forms of transport. In fact your are more likely to be in a car crash than your airplane going down.

In the last year I have flown to Singapore and back and to Australia and back on my own, my friends know that I am quite an anxious flyer but I overcame the fear on my way back from Australia because I realised that I am safe on an airplane and sat back and tried to relax in my uncomfortable small chair for 7 and then 13 hours hah.

Flying seems super scary but you cant avoid it and miss out on all the amazing countries in the world, heres a few tips to help you enjoy the flight and feel more prepared:

  • Plan what you take on the plane with you, I would recommend a travel pillow for sure and comfortable clothes. Moisturisers come in handy for face and hands because I found my skin got pretty dry and felt kinda gross.
  • For long haul flights I like to pack toiletries such as the above plus toothpaste, toothbrush, face wipes, lip balm and any medication.
  • Don't forget a good book or maybe some magazines, I usually read these during take off.
  • Also plan ahead, check the films and shows that are available on your flight, I got pretty excited that Arrival and Fantastic Beasts was on my flight to Australia. They tend to be good with movies and especially the latest releases.
  • One thing I do at the airport once I've checked in is find a bar and have a big glass of wine and read or watch Netflix on my phone, it really helps haha.
  • I also have a few drinks on the plane but its also important to drink water and other soft drinks to keep hydrated, usually on long haul you can call for the air hostess as much as you like and get unlimited drinks haha but obviously not take the mick..... too much.
  • If you need anything ask someone, the staff I've dealt with have always been so friendly and helpful which also helps with reassuring me that i am ok on this flight!
  • WALK AROUND, do not forget to walk up and down the plane or just move your feet in general otherwise you can end up with cankles which nobody wants.
Most importantly you are confident and can get on this flight because you are a strong independent person haha. Thats what i kept reciting to myself and it did work!!

If you made it this far in the post I hope this can help you feel a bit more confident when flying. I know how scary it can be, but trust me its worth it to face your fear and actually enjoy relaxing with unlimited wine, drinks and some great movies haha and of course the amazing holiday on the other end.

March throw on //

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Jeans- Topshop, Top & Cardigan - H&M, Vans,

I can be very lazy and would rather stay in bed that bit longer than get up early. Sometimes its quite hard looking put together in 5 minutes haha! My staples for March have been alternating the above clothes, a nice textured cardigan, some sort of white tshirt (sometimes a band tee) and some black jeans and of course my well worn Vans. Please excuse the poor poor lighting, I need to find a good spot in my house for good snaps!

Its just so easy to throw this on and look put together and like you have been up for hours but really you woke up 10 minutes ago. I am dreaming of the day when I don't need to put a coat or jacket on over the top, summer needs to hurry up!

Thanks for reading, whats your staples this month?
