Tartan, Embellished Collars and Throw in Some Patterned Jeans

Left to Right- River Island £45, Topshop £68, Zara £39.99, Topshop £20

Tartan has been catching my eye recently and it seems fitting for the Christmas period because of the colour red, obviously. Throw one of these blazers over a dress or jeans and it is instantly wearable. If you want to subtly clash patterns these trousers are perfect because of the dark colour/patterns they are perfect to wear with the tartan, sort of punk chic? The dog tooth Topshop jeans would also look great with a jumper and embellished collar which leads on to more of my favourite Christmas time pieces.....

Left to Right Missguided £19.99, £21.99, £16.09, £21.99

Missguided.co.uk have some amazing affordable on trend fashion on their website, for instance just this evening I bought 3 items which I will feature in a later post. Embelished collars scream party, glam, funk (I just love the word funk) and are perfect to dress up an outfit or just to add some fun to a day to day outfit by putting a jumper or cardigan over the top.

When pay day rolls in again (because as per I have spent my pay) I am investing in these pieces ready for Christmas because they can easily roll into January time. Ok so maybe Those patterned jeans will be within my reach soon because I can't resist them.

What are your key pieces for Christmas?

Leopard Print and Sparkly Socks

Dress and Necklace-New Look, Tights and Socks-Primark, Creepers-Ebay

I love the busyness of the collar and necklace together and the clashing polka dot tights! I am definitely a fan of mixing patterns and textures!
The sparkly socks are so cute and I love them because they are a little bit different to the normal patterned socks or frilly socks, a nice sock for the Autumn and Winter time!
I think peter pan collars are the perfect statement alone they are the centre piece and you can add jewellery or throw a jumper over the top and have the collar poking out to make it even more noticeable.

Iron Maiden Tee and Fur

Fur Gillet and Jeans-Charity Shop, Shirt-Topshop, Top-Boyfriends old top, Socks-Primark, Shoes-Ebay

I was heading into town and needed something I could throw on that was snug but not too warm because the weather is still not really cold yet! Its in limbo of being cold but not too cold. I thought I would layer up rather than committing to a coat and getting too hot walking around. Layering is always a favourite of mine for Autumn/Winter! I love the patterns on the shirt matching and clashing with the Iron Maiden tshirt!

Metallic pastels and Flatforms

 Jumper-H&M, Dress-River Island, Socks-Primark, Flatforms-Ebay, Scarf-Alexanda McQueen

As you may have seen I have changed my blog name and layout, what do you think? I drew the skull myself then uploaded it to my laptop and inverted the colours! I am quite pleased with it :)
The outfit is a simple look with some subtle hints of metallic such as in the shoes and jumper, I love metallics for A/W because it reminds me of Christmas and New Years celebrations. The flatforms I bought from ebay to wear to my graduation but decided against it. The jumper is from H&M and is a metallic black, which you may not be able to see in the photograph but I love it.

Name Change to Ashleigh Flowers Fashion Blog

Jumper-Charity Shop, Necklace-H&M, Skirt-Topshop, Loafers-Primark

I have been looking at the Topshop studded slipper shoes for aaaagggeess, and I found a pretty good copy of them from Primark for £10! Absolute steal!! The studs are not all the way around the shoe like the Topshop originals but I can live with that. As it is getting colder I was hunting around the charity shops for some thick knitted jumper and found this one for £2.99!

Hope you like my new layout, the illustration is something I drew to revamp this blog because I love skulls and flowers! What do you think!

Fur Gillet and Knitted Jumpers

Jumper-Charity Shop, Fur Gillet-Charity Shop, Skirt-H&M, Shoes-Primark, Earrings-Topshop

I have been so lucky with bargain buys recently in charity shops, this knitted jumper was £4.99 and this fur gillet which was new because it still had its H&M tag on was £10 orignally £29.99! Even though they are armless they are quite snug if you wear something warming underneath it.

Skulls and Studded Boots

Shirt-Topshop, Jumper-H&M, Jeans-River Island, Boots-Daisystreet.co.uk, Collar Tips-Old pair of earrings

I love throwing jumpers on over shirts for warmth and the collar always looks cute poking through, to jazz it up I added some collar tips which I made from some old earrings. They look so cute on any shirts and adds that little somethin somethin to the outfit. I also decided to buy some 'winter' boots in brown because I actually don't own any. These beauts are from Daisystreet.co.uk, they have some amazing clothes and shoes on their website and its not very expensive at all!
